CoEC organised a YALES2 Training Session which took place on 17-19 November 2021. The three-day session was designed to be a hybrid event, allowing participants to join from the CORIA lab as well as online through Zoom.

CoEC coordinator Daniel Mira´s talk “Digital technologies for decarbonization: reality or dream” which took place on 21 September 2021 at the Casa Golferichs Civic Center in Barcelona marked the first time that the project had presented in-person and to a live audience.
In order to decrease pollutant emissions, decarbonation of combustion has become a priority. The next generation of combustion chambers are then designed to burn either less fuel, in so-called lean to ultra-lean operating conditions, or to burn alternative fuels such as hydrogen, hydrogen-methane blends or other sustainable fuels.
CoEC has been mentioned in the 2021 ETP4HPC Handbook of European HPC Projects.
